FirstFill

Question: When ordering a new medication in the medication details screen we are seeing values in the Communication Action drop down menu that we have not seen before.
The 3 options are:

• FirstFill Dispensed
• FirstFill Retail
• FirstFill Print

Does anyone know what these are for?

Answer: The 11.1.6 ADBR does not include these values as of 05/19/09 but they are explained in detail in KB article 4979 - FirstFill integration is used when organizations dispense medications.
