Questions and Answers
Q: Is the EHR team the only people involved in obtaining certification? What other roles would assist?
A:The IT team is just part of the overall picture. Usually, in addition to your EHR team, you would have your clinical and nonclinical director or managers obtaining information and making changes in their staff’s workflows to meet the requirements.
Q: How long does PCMH certification last?
A:Recognition is valid for three years. At the end of the three-year period, a clinician or group practice must submit a new application.
