Description
The ADA Diabetes Risk calculator indicates whether or not the patient is at increased risk for having Type 2 Diabetes.
Calculator Search/Filter Keywords
At the calculator level, eCalcs comes delivered with default keywords that can be leveraged in the "Search/Filter" field to enable Specialty or System driven calculator searching. The following calculator keywords are delivered by default for the ADA Diabetes Risk (2013 Update) calculator:

Risk Factors
- People with impaired glucose tolerance (IGT) and/or impaired fasting glucose (IFG)
- People over age 45
- People with a family history of diabetes
- People who are overweight
- People who do not exercise regularly
- People with low HDL cholesterol or high triglyceride and high blood pressure
- Certain racial and ethnic groups (e.g., Non-Hispanic Blacks, Hispanic/Latino Americans, Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, and American Indians and Alaska Natives)
- Women who had gestational diabetes, or who have a baby weighing 9 pounds or more at birth
