Refers to a security policy that is towards documents of sensitivity, ie. HIV, etc. This policy typically requires a specific security setting to be in place to view teh documents. However, the process of breaking glass, allows another provider the ability to view these secured documents, with an extra layer of aduting turned on. An example may be during a case when urgent care is necessary.
