Definition
To dictate is to speak aloud and/or record with the intention of another transcribing the information into a medical note in a patient's chart.
Description
The Allscripts Dictate module provides features and advantages that allow the provider to complete dictations on patients without needing to be near a phone. The Dictate module has the ability to send digital dictation files to remote transcriptionists and 3rd party vendors, holds more than 3 hours of recording time, can incorporate custom dictation templates, custom reports, Scheduling/Practice Management system interface, and hold dictations.
Dictate also offers the capability to incorporate dictation markers into a structured note. The voice files generated by the dictation markers can either be routed internally to the Winscribe module or sent to remote transcriptionists and 3rd party vendors.
Setting up Dictate and Licensing
