Description

eCoupon enables the users to view and provide coupons for applicable medications. When you select a medication from the Add Clinical Item (ACI) page the system sends out a request to a service to verify that a coupon is available for that medication.

Setup

  1. Preference- Under General: Turn on the Enable eCoupon at Point of Prescribing by entering a Y in the field
  2. Preference- Under Meds Turn on the Automatically Attach Coupon to RX (When Available) by entering a Y in the field

  1. CDS Console- Enroll your user and providers in eCoupon in Subscription Manager under Manage Program enrollments


Additional Details

Coupon availability is determined by the following factors:

  1. Patient age
  2. Patient gender
  3. Patient address
  4. Number of coupons available for the medication- Some medications are limited to only a certain number of coupons, once the limit has been reached no additional coupons will be generated for that medication
  5. Ordering Provider is enrolled in eCoupon
