The enterprise level is the highest level of the application heirarchy for groups of users. The enterprise level is defined as being one or more organizations.
- When preferences are set at the enterprise level, they become the default preferences for all organizations and users contained within.
- Preferences can then be set at organization and user levels to customize the environment for certain functions that are desired to be different than the default (enterprise) level preference.
The term enterprise and its description above is not to be confused with Allscripts Enterprise EHR, formerly known as Touchworks.
