Description

The Crohn’s Disease Activity Index is a tool used to quantify the symptoms of patients with Crohn’s disease.

Remission of Crohn's disease is defined as a fall in the CDAI of less than 150. Severe disease is defined as a value of greater than 450. Most major research studies on medications in Crohn's disease define response as a fall of the CDAI of greater than 70 points.

Anal Fissure / Fistual / Perirectal Abscess Problems Patient has an anal fissure, fistula, or perirectal abscess
Bowel-Related Fistula Problems / No Default Mappings Patient has a bowel-related fistula
Febrile Episode Manual Input Patient has experienced febrile (fever) episode over 100 degrees in the past week
Lomotil / Opiates Medications Patient is taking Lomotil or Opiates for diarrhea
Abnormal Mass Manual Input Patient has an abnormal mass
Hematocrit Inclusion Manual Input Hematocrit Inclusion
Hematocrit Results The volume percentage of red blood cells in blood
Weight Changes Manual Input Whether or not the patient is experiencing weight changes related to condition
Current Weight Vitals Patient’s current weight
