Description

The SBIRT (Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment) Screen is an evidenced-based practice used to identify, reduce, and prevent problematic use, abuse, and dependence on alcohol and illicit drugs. The eCalcs SBIRT screening tool allows users to document whether or not the patient is able to screen and provides alcohol (AUDIT-C) drug (DAST-1) and tobacco pre-screening. Additionally, the tool can generate a task to alert members of the care team that a patient has had a positive screening and requires follow-up.
