During a large implementation, I created the following Microsoft Project templates to track build activities. It allows the functionality of MS Project to track the hours, effort, resources etc. to give more precise data for status reports and completion times etc. I often found myself getting asked the question. "How quick can you have everything built for ABC practice?" This allowed me to estimate, based on what was known to be done and a solid estimate of the effort remaining."
