The Quick List is not limited to a certain number of entries.  The recommendation is that the Quicklist only contains up to 50 items, but there is no way to prevent users from adding more than that.  As a rule of thumb, the Quick List is meant to have items that are used on a daily basis, while the Favorites List is meant to be used for items that are used on a weekly basis.
