On Go-Live Monday, the passwords associated with your users will the password that was used in your test/development system.   This is because the User/Provider spreadsheet is used during go-live weekend to assign specialties to users.  If your production system prompts users at regular intervals to change their passwords, the passwords on go-live Monday will be the password they had when the copy of live was taken.

To avoid confusion on go-live Monday you can set all of the passwords to one standard password for go-live Monday and force a password change upon login.

Question Can you please tell us if the passwords will change for the users on go live weekend. What user set up items will import on go live weekend; I am assuming this will be new worklists, workspaces, and desktops.


Answer

On Go-Live Monday, the passwords associated with your users will be maintained. Even though you will be loading the User/Provider SSMT spreadsheet, this will not affect the passwords in your production system. There had been a recent security feature added that encrypts passwords on the SSMT User/Provider Spreadsheet, and it is not possible to change the password of a user via SSMT.

Users will have the same password on Go-Live Monday that they had in V10 on Friday.
