Utilizing Microsoft's .Net technology Allscripts Touchworks EHR can run FAT-Client functionality through Internet Explorer. This enables the application to take advantage of caching mechanisms that allow the EHR to perform at split second response times.

Universal Application Integrator (UAI™)

The Universal Application Integrator provides Allscripts Touchworks EHR the ability to interface with third party applications. An example would be Welch Alynn devices.
