Note button

Choosing to display the note button as a part of the patient banner can be an easy way for users to see that they have a note open, regardless of where they are in the application.

• When there is no open note, the button will have the word "Open" next to it, indicating a new note can be opened. When there is an open note, the button will have the words "Go To" and "Close" to the right of it, indicating that the end user can either go to that note or close it.

• Enabling this button on the patient banner gives a visual reference to a user when they are in editing mode for a note. Having this visual reference will help prevent users from indavertently forgetting to close out of notes when they are finished with their documentation, enabling other users to freely access and/or edit the note without conflicts.
